Your life is full. Perhaps you’re buzzed and thriving on it all. Or maybe you're feeling a little dull, numbed out from the breakneck pace of life.
If only you had a little space to just breathe and be present — to honour the things that are going on in your life or that are tugging at your heart for attention.
We invite you to come, give thanks and practice gratitude in community by getting creative together. Join us as we celebrate relationships, life and all its lessons, and anything that calls out to you, in an encouraging, collaborative space.
By sharing in heart-centred conversations and creative art expression while enjoying light refreshments, you’ll have opportunity to make meaningful connections with what’s going on in your heart and life, and with others in community.
Leave feeling lighter, with a full heart and with tools that will lead you to stronger emotional, mental, and social health.
In this 3 hour workshop, you will:
Engage in an intentional space of reflection through guided prompts, visualization, journalling, and creative exercises.
Hone in on the messages your life is speaking to you as you review the past year.
Release the power of gratitude as you explore expressive lettering as a means of self care and expression.
Create your own gratitude piece as a keepsake to take home.
Share honest conversations and create meaningful connections with others in community.
Whether you consider yourself creative or not, beginner or seasoned — all levels of artists, non-artists, calligraphers, and curious calligraphers, are welcome! Even if you think you have bad handwriting, you are welcome here.
Please note that this time will be focused on creative exploration, which anyone can do! If you prefer a more technical class, there are basic classes that may be better suited for you.)
We dare you to Show up for yourself, refresh your heart, and turn on your creative spark. Treat yourself to this mini-retreat before the rush of Christmas season. Invite a friend for a creative date (makes a great gift).
WHAT TO BRING: Light refreshments and all supplies will be provided, so come as you are, with an open spirit and positive attitude to learn and make connections. If you have art supplies of your own you would like to explore with, feel free to bring them with you.
10% of proceeds will go to http://www.safoundation.com, a charity with a proven long term success in freeing women from a life of sexual exploitation in Vancouver and globally.
REFUNDS are not available, however you may defer your ticket to a future workshop, or you may transfer your ticket to a friend.
